Business Profile (optional)

Calls, website clicks, direction requests and views from Google Maps and Search. Needs Google’s approval and Google sign-in (Method A).

Google keeps the Business Profile APIs closed until it approves your Cloud project. Until then their quota is 0 and every request fails.

1. Check the requirements: a verified Business Profile that has been active for at least 60 days, a website listed on it, and an application sent from an email that owns or manages the profile.
2. Fill in Google’s Business Profile API contact form and choose Application for Basic API Access. You’ll need your Cloud project number (shown on the console’s Welcome or Dashboard page).
3. Wait for the approval email (usually a few days). To check, open IAM & Admin → Quotas & System Limits and search “My Business Account Management API”: a Requests per minute limit of 0 means not approved yet.
4. After approval, enable My Business Account Management API, My Business Business Information API and Business Profile Performance API in the API Library.
5. On the Connections screen, open your Google sign-in connection → Reconnect or change permissions, tick Also read Business Profile, and sign in again with the Google account that manages the profile.
